The health benefits of cuddling!

 Dear Health Honeys,🎒🍂

(this isnt my pic btw, its just really cute)

Hi everybody! Can you believe school is starting this week? I'm sad that summer is ending, but I am also really excited for the holiday season! 🍁🎄Fall is my favorite season! I can't wait for the air to smell like apples 🍎and wood smoke🪵. But now that school is starting, it's time for new crushes and new relationships🩷! While you're in the stands at one of the football games🏈, you might wonder to yourself why cuddling with your partner feels so good. Well, health honeys, I'm here to explain it all to you! 🫧

When you begin to cuddle with somebody that you really like, your body releases hormones called oxytocin, serotonin, and dopamine!🤪 Oxytocin is the one that gives you the warm, fuzzy feeling of cuddling! This helps you calm down and feel less stressed! ☺ can also lower your blood pressure and lower levels of cortisol (the stress hormone). This is really good for your heart!🫀

After an injury🤕, cuddling with someone is good for more than just moral support! When we release these hormones, it can help block pain signals! ❌Cuddling also connects you to your partner more.👩‍❤‍👨 We also have these things called C-tactile nerves, which are specialized nerve endings in the skin🥲. They respond to gentle and warm🙋 pressure by sending direct signals of pleasure to the emotional center in your brain!🧠

So whether you're cuddling with your partner, friends, or family, it is very beneficial for your health!🩷

But before I go, let's do a quick vitals check on myself!

What's actually in the Unicorn Frappuccino?

 Dear Health Honeys, 🍯🦄

Hi everybody! Have you guys tried the Unicorn Frappuccino? I sure have! I woke up superrr early to get it, and it's so yummy!😋 They didn't have the unicorn cake pop, though😢. It tasted like mangos and raspberries, and a little sour! It is so colorful; it takes me back to when I was a kid! But what actually makes this drink so colorful and yummy? Let's find out!

The Unicorn Frappuccino has 8 ingredients: ice,🧊 milk,🥛 creme frappuccino syrup, mango syrup🥭, pink sweet powder,🩷 sour blue drizzle🫐, vanilla whipped cream, and a dusting of pink and blue sour powder. But today I am only going to go into the core components. The mango base, the blue drizzle, and the pink & blue toppings!

🥭The Mango Base
This is the main flavor of the frappuccino! It is made with creme frappuccino syrup, mango syrup,🍁 and milk and ice.🧊 The creme frappuccino syrup is a thick sugary base liquid. It is used to blend the ice and milk. 🪁The pink powder is literally just dried juice from red radishes🍎; it's like healthy food coloring to make the drink colorful! The milk and ice help to create a milkshake-like texture!🍹

🫐The Blue Drizzle
This flavor is what gives the Unicorn Fraapuccino its sour and tangy flavor!🍊 When it is mixed with the mango base, it gets its magical look! 🪄The blue drizzle is made with a white chocolate base,🍫 a classic syrup, and sour blue powder. 🔵The white chocolate base is made from condensed milk, sugar,🍬 cocoa butter, and coconut oil. It gives the drink a thick, creamy texture and sweet flavor! 🍭The classic syrup is just a simple syrup that helps keep the drizzle to the sides of the cups and helps it blend with the mango base. The sour blue powder is what gives the blue drizzle its blueness! 🍹Its sourness comes from citric acid, which is the same stuff that is used to make sour candies. 🍬The blueness comes from spirulina extract, which is a natural bluish-greenish algae.

🩷 The Pink & Blue Toppings
These toppings add a little bit of sweetness and tartness! It is a mix of vanilla 😎whipped cream and a dusting of pink and blue sour powders. 🩷 Whipped cream is the iconic Starbucks whipped cream. It's made from heavy whipping cream and vanilla syrup that gives it a sweet and rich flavor! The pink dust is made of a combination of sugar, citric acid, and red radish🍊 juice powder for the bright pink color! The blue dust uses the same ingredients as the pink dust, except it gets its color from spirulina extract.

☁Whipped Cream
It wouldn't be complete without the whipped cream!🍦 It gives the drink a soft, creamy topping and adds another layer of sweetness.🫐 Plus, it's so fun to lick after you finish your drink!👅 It is made from heavy whipping cream, which gives it a rich, thick, and creamy texture. It is also made from vanilla syrup, a liquid sugar flavored with vanilla extract to add sweetness! 🩷

A grande-sized Unicorn Frappuccino is 380 to 410 calories, depending on how it is prepared. It has about 51-59 grams of sugar. If you want to reduce the calories in this drink, you can order it with nonfat milk and ask for no whipped cream!

If the Unicorn Frappuccino wasn't only around for 3 days, I would definitely get it again! I give it a solid 8/10, just because I don't really like the taste of raspberries or the sourness!

Now, let's do a quick vitals check on myself!🩺

Body Systems in Girl Terms

Dear Health Honeys, 🐝🍯

Hi everybody! The week was sooo long I'm so glad it's over! But now that it's the weekend and I don't have to go to work I can finally sit down, eat popcorn,🍿and write to you guys! Every post, or every other post, I will tell you guys about a different body system. Today will be the Cardiovascular System! Basically i'm gonna explain it without all the scary medical words we wouldn't understand unless we were actually IN medical school⚕. I will also explain it in girl terms💄 like making connections to tv shows and things like that! For me, I had a super hard time with body systems this year, but putting it into Gossip Girl ♥ terms helped! Before I start, I wanna preference that girls do NOT need things dumbed down, that is not what I am trying to get at. Putting things in easier terms is really helpful, especially for those who
are just starting out! And making connections to shows helps our brain remember better! NOW LET'S GET
STARTED! 🫧

The body has 11 body systems, each including major organs. Lets starts with the Cardiovascular System!

The Cardiovascular System includes your body's heart, blood, and blood vessels. The heart pumps the blood that carries oxygen and nutrients that your body needs! The blood travels through tubes called blood vessels. But let's go more in depth.

Basically, the heart is the Serena van der Woodsen of this system!♀ (Serena is the IT girl, she's always at the center, she keeps the drama going, and without her Gossip Girl would've gotten canceled.) The heart has two sides, the right and the left (like how Serena sometimes has two different personalities). ♥The right side of the heart sends blood to the lungs so they can get oxygen. The left side sends fresh, oxygen-rich blood to the rest of the body! 🌷

The blood is like gossip. The blood gets sent around to the entire body like how gossip gets to everybody through Gossip Girl! The blood carries oxygen, nutrients, hormones, and waste. 🩸

The blood vessels are the highways that the blood goes through! Now, there are three main roads on this highway.🏎 They are called the arteries, veins, and capillaries. The arteries are basically the fast lane⛙that takes blood AWAY from the heart, just like how Blair takes gossip from Serena and brings it to the rest of the Upper East Side. The veins are a chill and slower ride which brings blood BACK to the heart. Kind like how Dan tells Serena all the drama! 🚗

The capillaries are the tiny side streets where the exchange really happens. In the capillaries, the blood drops off oxygen and nutrients to your cells. Then, the blood picks up waste from your cells and carries it away. They are like the tips in Gossip Girl, this is where everything happpensss. 🚦🎂

The Cardiovascular systems is so important because without the heart, the human body would not be alive. Like how without Serena, Gossip Girl would get canceled. ❌🦀

And there you go! That's the Cardiovascular System! I hope this was helpful and easy to understand! ♥

Now, let me do a quick vital check on myself!🩺
